Fitting a hot-air stove

A hot-air stove fitted in a living room: the fireplace insert, the warm-air ducting and the finished cladding.

A hot-air fireplace is made up of the insert, a heat-storing cladding and hot-air grilles. The room warms up 15 to 20 minutes after lighting, and with the right storage cladding the surface stays warm for up to 6 hours after the fire goes out.

On this job we ran the warm-air ducting into the adjoining room as well, so one firebox heats two rooms at once.
